Menopause Treatment for Hot Flashes
Information on the Symptoms of Menopause and Menopause Treatment Options
Menopause hot flashes are sometimes called "power surges" or the "inner child playing with
matches," by those who have a good sense of humor. But it all amounts to the same thing, and if you have never,
ever, had a menopause hot flash, you will still recognize your first one for exactly what it is. They are sometimes
bad enough that you will start searching for menopause treatment.
Menopause and hot flashes can vary in intensity and in time of duration. Sometimes the menopausal hot flash
might be preceded by a "chilled" feeling. Sometimes it might be preceded by an "aura" or just an uneasy or
uncomfortable feeling that tells the menopausal woman that a hot flash is about to happen. Normally the hot
flash will occur suddenly, so if you experience these often and they're bad enouth, you will probably already be
taking some type of treatment for menopause.

At the time this happens, there is really no menopause hot flash
relief, but it usually subsides farily quickly. A wave of heat washes over the upper body. Sometimes there is a
feeling of near drowning or suffocating. The menopause hot flash can last only a few seconds, a few minutes, or
several minutes. Most women report that their hot flashes are not of a consistent length or intensity.
When the menopause hot flash passes, the menopausal woman is sometimes flushed. Sometimes a woman will sweat so
profusely that a change of clothing is required. Sometimes there may only be a little perspiration on the upper
lip. There are no regularities, everyone will have different menopause and hot flash symmptoms.
The main cause of a hot flash is a hormonal change, of course, but that isn't the only cause. Certain
medications can also induce a hot flash as can interrupted sleep cycles and lifestyle choices. Nobody really
understands the dynamics of a hot flash, and maybe that doesn't matter. The point is finding
menopause treatment so you can avoid as many of them as possible. Alcohol usually causes
menopausal hot flashes, so that's one area when you can usually be sure there will be one for a short time.
Some people find menopause hot flash relief in HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) others rely on natural menopause remedies, which have been proven to reduce the severity
and frequency of hot flashes.
